A testament to the power of human spirit, Kath Koschel is a survivor who has overcome incredible odds and unimaginable tragedy to inspire ordinary people to do extraordinary things. A former cricketer and Ironman competitor, Kath is an internationally sought after speaker and author of best-selling book Kindness.


Driven by a passion to spread gratitude and kindness in the world, her journey led her to found Kindness Factory™ with the goal of encouraging one million acts of kindness all over the world. To date, Kindness Factory has recorded over 8 million acts of kindness and is now a registered not-for-profit in three countries.


Kath’s work has been celebrated globally, most recently being named the 2025 NSW Australian of the Year and recipient of the Australia Medal for courage in overcoming extreme adversity.


Joel Selwood

FORMER AFL PLAYER

Joel Selwood is one of Australian football’s most respected leaders and a true embodiment of resilience and integrity. Over a 16-year AFL career with the Geelong Cats, he became renowned for his courage, professionalism, and selfless leadership — captaining the club for a record 11 seasons. Under his guidance, Geelong claimed four premierships, including the 2022 flag that marked his emotional farewell from the game.


Off the field, Joel has built a reputation as a humble and inspiring role model. His commitment to team culture, community, and purpose-driven leadership continues to influence athletes, businesses, and everyday Australians. Today, Joel draws on his experiences from elite sport to share lessons on resilience, teamwork, and values-based leadership, offering audiences practical insights into what it takes to sustain success and inspire those around you.

Professor Lorimer Moseley

PAIN SCIENTIST

Lorimer is Bradley Distinguished Professor in Clinical Neuroscience and Foundation Chair in Physiotherapy at Adelaide University. He is CEO of the not-for-profit Pain Revolution. His main interests are persistent pain and other protective feelings and how to best convey modern scientific understanding of chronic pain and similar conditions to consumers, the general public, and health professionals, in a way that is ‘sticky’ and improves outcomes. He has authored 440 scientific articles and eight books. His foundational discoveries around the science and management of pain, and communication of those discoveries to diverse audiences, have been recognised by honours in 15 countries, as well as world peak bodies in several fields. His research has transformed practice in chronic pain care internationally, including UK’s National Health Service, USA’s Veterans’ Affairs and European pain management clinical standards. In 2020, he was made an Officer of the Order of Australia, our second highest civilian honour, for ‘distinguished service, to humanity at large, in the fields of pain and its management, science communication, education and physiotherapy.’ He lives and works on Kaurna Land in Adelaide, South Australia.
