A testament to the power of human spirit, Kath Koschel is a survivor who has overcome incredible odds and unimaginable tragedy to inspire ordinary people to do extraordinary things. A former cricketer and Ironman competitor, Kath is an internationally sought after speaker and author of best-selling book Kindness.
Driven by a passion to spread gratitude and kindness in the world, her journey led her to found Kindness Factory™ with the goal of encouraging one million acts of kindness all over the world. To date, Kindness Factory has recorded over 8 million acts of kindness and is now a registered not-for-profit in three countries.
Kath’s work has been celebrated globally, most recently being named the 2025 NSW Australian of the Year and recipient of the Australia Medal for courage in overcoming extreme adversity.

FORMER AFL PLAYER
Joel Selwood is one of Australian football’s most respected leaders and a true embodiment of resilience and integrity. Over a 16-year AFL career with the Geelong Cats, he became renowned for his courage, professionalism, and selfless leadership — captaining the club for a record 11 seasons. Under his guidance, Geelong claimed four premierships, including the 2022 flag that marked his emotional farewell from the game.
Off the field, Joel has built a reputation as a humble and inspiring role model. His commitment to team culture, community, and purpose-driven leadership continues to influence athletes, businesses, and everyday Australians. Today, Joel draws on his experiences from elite sport to share lessons on resilience, teamwork, and values-based leadership, offering audiences practical insights into what it takes to sustain success and inspire those around you.

PAIN SCIENTIST
Lorimer is Bradley Distinguished Professor in Clinical Neuroscience and Foundation Chair in Physiotherapy at Adelaide University. He is CEO of the not-for-profit Pain Revolution. His main interests are persistent pain and other protective feelings and how to best convey modern scientific understanding of chronic pain and similar conditions to consumers, the general public, and health professionals, in a way that is ‘sticky’ and improves outcomes. He has authored 440 scientific articles and eight books. His foundational discoveries around the science and management of pain, and communication of those discoveries to diverse audiences, have been recognised by honours in 15 countries, as well as world peak bodies in several fields. His research has transformed practice in chronic pain care internationally, including UK’s National Health Service, USA’s Veterans’ Affairs and European pain management clinical standards. In 2020, he was made an Officer of the Order of Australia, our second highest civilian honour, for ‘distinguished service, to humanity at large, in the fields of pain and its management, science communication, education and physiotherapy.’ He lives and works on Kaurna Land in Adelaide, South Australia.

Alex Grigg is the Executive General Manager at Procare and National Treasurer of ARPA. He has over 22 years working in insurance, personal injury and employment services across all states and schemes. Alex’s strengths include communication, customer service, analytical and change management skills as well as an ability to develop innovative services for complex injury. Alex is an accredited Rehabilitation Counsellor with qualifications in Psychology. He also holds an MBA from the University of South Australia.

Noni Byron is the Managing Director of Prestige Health Services Australia, National Co-Vice President and NSW President of ARPA. Noni is a Registered Psychologist who leads a team of over 150 allied health professionals throughout Australia to deliver best in industry education and training, assessment, treatment and workplace rehabilitation services. Noni is a strong advocate for initiatives and enhanced personal injury models to improve the experience of all stakeholders in the workers compensation industry and in particular the experience of the worker with their recovery and return to work.

Known for her engaging and energising style, Lauren equips audiences with simple, effective techniques to reduce overwhelm, protect their wellbeing, and continue performing at their best – without burning out.

With over 15 years as a senior executive, Rebecca Harris is a high performer, with a focus on strengthening workers compensation and injury management to achieve positive results for workers and employers.
Rebecca has led and delivered on major reform agendas with a focus on regulation and compliance, leadership and capability, and workforce practice and diversity. She has a proven track record of successfully leading organisations, delivering reforms and implementing complex legislative and policy projects.
As the Acting CEO, WorkCover WA, Rebecca leads the agency responsible for delivering state-wide workers compensation and injury management services.
Rebecca holds a Master of Education and Master of Public Administration and Management.

Member for midland
Steve Catania MLA is the Member for Midland in the 42nd Parliament of Western Australia. Before entering Parliament, Steve worked as a lawyer, representing workers across Western Australia and contributing to reforms in work health and safety, subcontractor protections, and industrial relations. Steve has a strong connection to the Midland community and a long‑standing commitment to fair and safe workplaces for working Western Australians.
